Courelli (Atlian: Courellia) , officially the Republic of Courelli (Atlian: Repubblica Courellia),^[8] is a country consisting of a peninsula delimited by the Udine Mountains, several islands surrounding the peninsula, and the tropical island of Avanua. Courelli is situated along the Rhumasae Ocean in western Erede. A unitary democratic republic with Leoncavallo as its capital and largest city, the country covers a total area of TBA sq. mi. and is comprised of fifteen Provinces. With around 213 million inhabitants,^[1] Courelli is the #th-most populous state in western Erede.

Government

The Government of the Republic of Courelli, a constitutional republic on the continent Erede, is composed of three distinct branches: executive, legislative, and judicial, whose powers are vested by the Constitution in the Governor, the National Assembly, and the High Court, respectively. The powers and duties of these branches are further defined by Acts of the National Assembly, including the creation of Executive Directorates, and courts inferior to the High Court.

Political Parties

Throughout history, numerous political parties have operated in Courelli. Since the 1820 general election, no party has ever gained enough support to govern alone; parties thus form political alliances and coalition governments. In the 2020 general election, the incumbent left-of-center coalition, led by the United Left Party, maintained its majority in the National Assembly. However, coalitions in provincial and local governments are often slightly different from those in the national government, due to different regional conditions.
