Status: Repealed

WHEREAS the organization of records of the Open Parliament is provided for by the Constitution; and

WHEREAS the current system does not provide for the citation of legislative proposals; and

WHEREAS citations simplify discussion of proposals; and

WHEREAS a supplementary system of guidelines is necessary to complete the organization of records of the Open Parliament;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that, in citations, the following formats be used:

  • Proposed Acts of Parliament be prefixed PA, followed by the sequential number of their proposal or passage;
  • Proposed Act Amendments be prefixed PAa, followed by the sequential number of their proposal or passage;
  • Proposed Resolutions of Parliament be prefixed PR, followed by the sequential number of their proposal or passage;
  • Proposed Resolution Amendments be prefixed PRa, followed by the sequential number of their proposal or passage;
  • Proposed Constitutional Amendments be prefixed PCa, followed by the sequential number of their proposal or passage.
