The Speaker pro tempore (generally referred to as just Speaker pro tem) is a constitutional office created with the passage of the Third Constitution of the Social Liberal Union. The Speaker pro tempore is appointed by the Speaker of the Union to serve in their absence, if necessary, and serves an indefinite term at the pleasure of the Speaker. The Speaker pro tempore holds an ex officio seat on the Law Commission.
