The Open Parliament of the Social Liberal Union is the supreme legislative body and supreme sovereign entity of the Social Liberal Union, limited in its sovereignty only by the Constitution and laws it may enact, but having the power to repeal or modify any law. It is composed of all Member States, as constitutionally defined. Its powers are outlined primarily in Article 2 of the Constitution. It is presided over by the Speaker of the Union, who designates a Speaker pro tempore. Also under the auspices of the legislative branch, in service of the Open Parliament, are the Law Commission and Library of Parliament.
