Nominations for Chancellor opened on 5 March 2021 and closed on 12 March 2021. Speaker Helvurium served as Election Administrator. Hirematia nominated the incumbent Ramelia on 5 March, which they accepted the same day. Brys Questions nominated Hirematia on the 5th, which they declined on the 7th. An-Astral was nominated by Hirematia on the 7th and became a candidate the same day. Voting lasted from 12 March to 19 March 2021. An-Astral defeated Ramelia, the first incumbent Chancellor to lose re-election, by winning more second preference votes than them in the second round of voting after they tied 9-9 in the first round, which was verified by Independent Vote Verifier Courelli. An-Astral assumed office as the eighth Chancellor of the Social Liberal Union on 19 March 2021.[1]
