Nominations and Miscellaneous

Nominations opened 21 July 2019, and closed 28 August. Courelli served as Election Administrator. Due to the positioning of this election and the Speaker election relative to the August 2019 Chancellor election, a lawsuit was brought which delayed voting's beginning by two days. Voting opened on 30 August, and concluded 6 August. Goncar, Harndon, and Anaaxes were nominated for Minister of Foreign Affairs; Goncar and Harndon ran. Helvurium, Koiho, and Jyskmark were nominated for Minister of Domestic Affairs; Koiho and Helvurium ran. Fantasma Izquierdo, Koiho, Jyskmark, Ivory Rhodes, and Anaaxes were nominated for Minister of Immigration; Fantasma Izquierdo, Ivory Rhodes, and Jyskmark ran.[1]

Several candidates published platforms in these elections: Jyskmark, Fantasma Izquierdo, Ivory Rhodes, and Helvurium ran individual campaigns. Additionally, Goncar and Harndon ran a joint campaign for Ministry of Foreign Affairs (the first campaign of that type since July 2018), with Goncar angling for Minister and Harndon for Deputy, though Goncar did publish a separate platform for Minister.
