Elected Chancellor

Nominations and campaigning began 23 July 2019 and were to end end 30 July; Courelli and served as Election Administrator until the election of Ramelia as Speaker of the Union, at which point they served as Election Administrator. Incumbent Hirematia was eligible to seek reelection, and announced that they would do so on 23 July after being nominated the same day. Voting would have started on 30 July, and concluded 6 August, but with only one candidate by 30 July, nominations were extended for one week. Pursuant to law, on 6 July, nominations closed whether new nominations were put forward or not; Hirematia remained the sole candidate, so an approval election would be held. Voting lasted from 8 August to 15 August. 12 votes were cast to approve Hirematia, 1 to reject them, and 1 abstention was cast; as such, Hirematia was duly reelected as the fifth Chancellor.[1][2][3]
